How long have you been working at Wembley Stadium?
It will be 3 years in March 2021. Although this last 9 months has been a bit of a blur
How would you explain your job to a child?
Wembley is like this awesome memory making factory and my part in this is to try to understand what will make people happy regardless of whether their team has lost a game 6 nil or their favourite artist didn’t sing their favourite song. We have to match the right experience with the right people on an event day, and when all is quiet at Wembley we plan other things that we think our members will enjoy like a cookery class, a trip to the training ground or having dinner some of football’s finest legends. When our members our happy, that means we’re doing a good job.
Favourite thing about working at Wembley Stadium?
It has to be the people. In normal times, we’d have some incredibly crazy busy periods where you’re relying on the moral of those around you to pull you through and there are plenty of great people here. Couldn't think of a better bunch of people to navigate my way through a pandemic with.
Best memory of Wembley Stadium?
This could be at work or as a visitor. It has to be coming to Michael Jackson’s Dangerous show when I was 11 with my sister who was 16 (it was a different time back then). It was my first time going to a stadium gig and it was AWESOME! MJ was mind blowing but my highlight was seeing Kris Kross who were the support act that day. For those of you who are too young to know who Kris Kross are, they were a whole vibe.
Dream Wembley event?
Slightly different approach but it would be great to curate a show call ‘Dead Famous’ and I have a line-up of some of my favourite artists who have passed on line up. They’d include some of the following: Prince, George Michael, Whitney Houston, Jimi Hendrix, Tupac vs Biggie.
